Meet Our Founder

Burpee Contracting & Co. was founded by Andrew Burpee, a Habersham County native and licensed commercial general contractor with a background in commercial, educational, and institutional construction.

Andrew was introduced to business and construction at an early age through his family's childcare facilities, where he saw firsthand the planning, coordination, and responsibility required to build and operate facilities that serve the community. That early exposure shaped his interest in construction, ownership, and building lasting relationships through meaningful work.

He earned his Construction Management degree from Kennesaw State University and went on to gain hands-on experience in commercial construction — including educational facility projects, project coordination, subcontractor management, scheduling, budgeting, and closeout. Prior to founding Burpee Contracting & Co., Andrew worked as a project coordinator at Parrish Construction Group, supporting multiple K–12 school construction projects across Northeast Georgia.

Most recently, he served as construction manager for a four-classroom addition to Foundation Academy in Cornelia, Georgia — managing the project from design coordination through final completion.

Andrew founded Burpee Contracting & Co. to give owners a more personal, accountable, and transparent construction experience. Every project is built around clear communication, disciplined documentation, and a no-surprises approach from preconstruction through closeout.
